T-3 Services
Service Options
Fractional DS-3
For customers with larger bandwidth requirements, Cobalt can provide fractional DS-3 service. A DS-3 is roughly 45Mbps of bandwidth, but can be provisioned in 3Mbps increments. Like Frame Relay, an entire DS-3 circuit is installed, but bandwidth is limited to the customer's requirements. Additional bandwidth can be made available within hours, or less, as the customer requires. This service is not available in all areas and will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.
DS-3
Ideal for call centers and larger ISPs, a full DS-3 carries 45Mbps of data or Internet traffic. This service is not available in all areas and will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.
DS-3 Channelized
Much like the Channelized T-1, this is a DS-3 (45Mbps) circuit broken out into 28 T-1 circuits. Each T-1 can be configured individually for voice, video or data communications and Internet access. This service is not available in all areas and will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.
